Omega-3s and essential fatty acids, which have been shown to be good for fertility, are abundant in salmon. It has a low mercury content as well. It is also a fantastic source of vitamin D and selenium. Low levels of vitamin D appear to be linked to poor fertility in both men and women, and selenium is a vitamin that is crucial for healthy sperm. In fact, salmon is among the best sources of your recommended daily intake of vitamin D. You can get 97% of the daily recommended value for vitamin D from just 3 ounces of smoked salmon.
Wild Salmon Kebabs
2 wild salmon steaks
2 tablespoons tamari
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon honey
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 garlic clove crushed
1 teaspoon oregano
1/2 teaspoon chilli flakes
salt and pepper for seasoning
How to make:
Remove the skin from each salmon steak and cut lengthways into three strips
Thread each piece of salmon onto a kebab stick
Season with salt and pepper and place in a shallow dish
Make the marinade by whisking together the tamari, olive oil, honey, lemon juice, minced garlic, oregano and chilli flakes
Pour over the salmon kebabs and marinade in the fridge for an hour
Heat a drizzle of oil in a large shallow pan over a medium h
Add in the salmon kebabs and cook for a couple of minutes on all four sides of the kebabs
Serve with a salad of your choice. Enjoy!
