Wedding guests donated funds for IVF

A couple who asked for donations towards their IVF fund has revealed they miraculously fell pregnant naturally following fertility reflexology

Alyson Blush and her husband, Terry, asked their guests to donate money instead of being given traditional wedding gifts.

The 28-year-old was diagnosed with polycystic ovaries which caused fertility problems and received £1,500 for IVF following their wedding.

The couple had been trying for seven years to conceive and were told they would need to go private as the NHS did not accept Terry as he had a child in a previous relationship.

The pair needed £10,000 to fund the treatment and while they were saving Alyson discovered fertility reflexology. She found it incredibly beneficial and used the wedding funds to pay for a series of sessions.

She was astounded to discover she was pregnant and is due to give birth in October 2022.

Reflexology is a treatment that aims to bring together the mind and body to create a balance.

Alyson told the Mirror: “I wasn’t sure how someone touching my feet would help, but I was willing to try anything after so long.

“It is about finding balance in your cycle, and certain parts of your feet are connected to your ovaries.

“At my appointments, I would lie down on a bed and my reflexologist would touch different parts of my feet.

“It wasn’t a massage, it was more stimulating the muscles.

“I will admit I was very close-minded to it all, I didn’t expect anything to happen.”

But to Alyson’s surprise, she started to have regular periods and her reflexologist was even able to tell he when she was about to ovulate.

Just months later she missed her period and decided to take a cheap test. To her surprise, there was a faint positive line.

She took another more expensive test and it again gave a positive result.

Alyson is now 27 weeks pregnant and the couple plan to use the leftover funds to treat their newborn child.
