CHARITY Sophie Ellis Bextor supports our pineapple pin campaign and supports our charity Babble Giving

Since the launch of online fertility magazine, IVFbabble.com, back in November 2016, it has reached an audience of more 3.5m people globally and read in 216 countries, so, we thought it was time to celebrate.

To mark this meteoric success and to celebrate 40 years of IVF, IVFbabble.com organised a night to remember with the amazingly talented singer-songwriter, Sophie Ellis Bextor.

On 1 November 2018, at the London Science Museum, we hosted the world’s first IVF baby, Louise Brown, along with many of the world’s leading fertility experts, influencers and organisations at our inaugural fundraiser, The Pineapple Ball.

The funds raised during the evening were donated equally to our newly-launching charity, Babble Giving and Fertility Network UK.

Sophie is no stranger to infertility, although blessed with four children and another on the way, she understands the emotional pain infertility causes

Her mum, TV presenter Janet Ellis suffered an overwhelming ten miscarriages.

We adore Sophie for her love and support for the TTC community and we all kicked our heels off when Sophie performed.

Sophie is an incredible artist, with so many huge hits to her name, including Heartbreak, Make Me A Dancer, Take Me Home and of course Meghan Markle’s favourite, Murder On The Dancefloor, Sophie being with us means so much more, as she has supported our campaign from the start and shown so much love to the TTC community.

Hosting the launch night for Babble Giving, we had the fabulous Dr Zoe Williams and we couldn’t think of anyone more perfect for the job, she was amazing

Dr Zoe is one of ITV’s This Morning resident house doctors. Not only is she a brilliant doctor, but is on her own fertility journey too as she is just about to freeze her eggs. Zoe is passionate about educating the young on fertility awareness, and will be documenting her journey for all to see on TV. She was the perfect person to help get the party started and keep us entertained until the early hours, celebrating all that has been achieved and our plans for Babble Giving

IVFbabble.com is achieving so much of what we set out to do – to discard the stigma attached to infertility and help men and women across the globe combat the feelings of isolation and confusion as they embark on their fertility journey.

Infertility is nothing to be ashamed of – it is an illness, a disease – and armed with the knowledge why you’re not conceiving and understanding the stages of your fertility treatment, combined with the love and support of the enormous #ttc community, we hope that our readers feel equipped to battle the dark clouds that can so easily lurk above.

Over the last four years, we have formed incredible partnerships with leading global experts who offer our readers the advice and guidance that they ask for

This trusted knowledge means that the TTC community can leave the advice to the doctors, and instead offer each other comfort, by sharing stories and offering words of love and hope.

Our #ivfstrongertogether campaign has touched so many lives, as men and women across the globe upload pictures of themselves wearing their pineapple pins, identifying with theirs and others fertility journeys.

Combined with our free IVF campaigns, in which we have given away 26 cycles with more coming soon. With our petition with Fertility Network UK to take to the UK Government in January 2019 for fair access to IVF and our #ttc lunches, it is all helping to make a change and continuing to petition for this

People are talking and conversations are happening and the isolation and taboos are slowly but surely breaking.
