Australian actress Rebel Wilson has posted her support to women having fertility struggles on Instagram
The cryptic post featured an image of her looking pensive on a beach and was accompanied by the post of her saying she’d had bad news that day.
She told her 9.8 million followers: “I got some bad news today and didn’t have anyone else to share it with but I guess I gotta tell someone.
“To all the women out there struggling with fertility, I feel ya. The universe works in mysterious ways and sometimes it doesn’t make sense. But I hope there is light about to shine through all the dark clouds.”
The post garnered thousands of likes and supportive comments, so much so she added an update the following day thanking everyone for their kind words.
The Pitch Perfect star has previously talked about freezing her eggs as a ‘back-up plan’.
She told the Kyle and Jackie O Radio Show that she felt career women had more options in this day and age.
The 41-year-old said: “I think women in their 30s, and if they can do it, in their 40s should think about doing it now. A lot of my friends in Hollywood are doing it now.”
In 2020 she lost 40lbs after overhauling her lifestyle and taking on a strict fitness regime.
Are you a single woman trying to conceive? Or have you frozen your eggs to give yourself a ‘back-up plan’?
