Sue Bedford (MSc Nutritional Therapy)

Enjoy this summery fertility-friendly Knickerbocker glory and pack in 2 of your daily portions of fruit at the same time! Enjoy as a lovely summery dessert.

Passionfruit are loaded with fertility-friendly nutrients including beta carotene, vitamin c, various important b vitamins and the minerals potassium, magnesium, phosphorus, copper, and iron.

Peaches are also full to the brim with nutrients that are great for the body pre-conception and beyond – including beta carotene, vitamin c, selenium, potassium and magnesium.

Raspberries -are fantastic as they are a low GL (Glycaemic load) fruit- helping to stabilise blood sugar levels. They have been linked to protecting sperm from oxidative stress. They also contain magnesium, which is involved in the production of testosterone. Raspberries are a good source of folate too- important in helping to prevent neural tube defects in the developing foetus.

Handful of raspberries

2 tbsp of runny honey

2 scoops of raspberry sorbet

2 scoops of frozen natural yoghurt
