UK singer and songwriter Paloma Faith has given birth to her daughter following a planned caesarian section
The Intimate Things singer announced the wonderful news to her 600,000 Instagram followers, with thousands of celebrity friends and fans offering their congratulations.
The 39-year-od singer has been documenting her pregnancy since announcing it on social media in September 2020 and has been praised for how candid she has been about her journey to have a second child.
Paloma and her partner Leyman Lahcine had endured six rounds of IVF before conceiving
The pair already share a daughter
The former Voice judge said she found the whole experience of IVF ‘a struggle’
She said: “It’s my sixth round of IVF and was a struggle to get here. I had a very traumatic first birth and I am also prone to postpartum depression.
“Being a mother is the greatest thing that’s ever happened to me, but I will swell up and I won’t glow. I intend to be very real about this with you all! To all the other pregnant women out there who are as in love with their babies as me but simultaneously shitting themselves, let’s do this.”
On the birth of her second daughter, she told her followers she was ‘exhausted, sore and her nipples were on fire’
She said: “I’m in a lot of pain and didn’t sleep well last night but it’s worth it to see the little cherub in front of me.
“This baby could not be more loved or wanted if she tried (yes I have two gals).
“Lost a litre of blood and in so much pain despite the painkillers. The joys!”
Here at IVF Babble, we find it so refreshing when celebrities and people in the public eye are so open and honest about their fertility journey
Congratulations to Paloma and Leyman.
