WHY EAT BETTER WITH PCOS PROGRAMME?

Why? PCOS is the number one cause of infertility and many women aren’t informed how to best manage their PCOS. Trust us, there really is more to managing  PCOS than following a low GI diet and taking Metformin.

Spoiler alert… there is not a PCOS diet – it’s about finding the right diet for YOU and it’s not only about what you eat!

As registered dietitians with training in Functional Medicine for more than 15 years experience we are highly skilled at translating the latest research into actional steps.  Practicing from of a renowned endocrine clinic in Harley Street, London, where we consult clients from across the globe, we understand how different healthcare systems work and have established trusted relationships with leading consultants.

How does PCOS affect fertility?

PCOS is one of the most common, but treatable, causes of infertility. In women with PCOS, the hormonal imbalance interferes with the growth and release of eggs from the ovaries (ovulation). Your diet helps to provide the information your cells need to ovulate and reproduce.

Through our own personal health journeys and experience working with countless women, we truly understand the challenges women face at different life stages. Our mission is to help you find a way of managing your PCOS that suits your unique biology, and a way of eating which is sustainable. Empowering you to prime your body for fertility, preconception and beyond!

How can this programme help you?

Poly Cystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) is a complex hormone disorder which involves multiple body systems including the ovaries, adrenal glands, gut and brain. Our approach recognises that PCOS affects the whole body, going beyond just carbs and calories. Your diet can play a powerful role in managing your PCOS and improving your hormone health. Our unique programme utilises real time glucose monitoring and 1:1 coaching support to help you determine the right diet for YOU.

How can blood sugar tracking improve your PCOS?

Research has shown that individuals have highly variable glucose responses to different foods – regardless of the carbohydrate content or the glycaemic index of the food. Our programme utilises the latest technology that involves wearing a small waterproof and painless sensor on your arm for two weeks. It provides continuous real time information about your blood sugar, on your phone if you wish, which is related to what you eat and even the quality of your sleep and gut health. A core part of this programme is identifying your unique glucose response to different meals and foods with the aim of improving your body’s insulin response.

Our 6 week programme

At the end of the 6-week programme you’ll have better clarity of what is causing your PCOS symptoms and how to improve them.  You’ll have a template on how to eat, putting you on a path to finding a sustainable approach that works for YOU.
