Model and artist Beau Dunn welcomes twins via surrogacy after health struggles

Beau Dunn and her husband James Fay have welcomed twins following a surrogate journey

The 35-year-old US celebrity artist welcomed Bella Dunn Fay and Finn Dunn Fay on July 1 born prematurely at 32 weeks.

The twins spent nearly a month in the NICU in Salt Lake City before being allowed to go home.

She said in an exclusive interview with People magazine: “After years of battling multiple health issues, the health arrival of our twins is like a miracle.

“It has been important to me to share my experiences with not being able to carry myself due to numerous health issues.

“I felt my path was very different than most, as many people associate with fertility issues as opposed to other health issues that can complicate pregnancy.

“I wanted to share our journey as surrogacy has been our biggest blessing and has gifted us the miracle of our two children.”

Beau suffers from Hashimoto’s, an autoimmune disorder, lipedema, a lymphatic disease, and thyroid cancer, all of which contributed to their decision to have the help of a surrogate.

She said: “A unique aspect of surrogacy is that you have the ability to decide if you want to implant a single baby or twins – we chose twins!

“Both our families were very supportive of our decision and everyone is over the moon.”
