US reality television queen Khloe Kardashian has confirmed she is expecting her second child via surrogate with ex-boyfriend Tristan Thompson
The 38-year-old Kardashians star revealed the shock news in a statement reasoning she was advised by her doctors that it could be a ‘high risk’ pregnancy if she carried the child.
Khloe has always been candid about her desire for her four-year-old daughter, True, to have a sibling and the final season of the family’s former reality television show, Keeping up with the Kardashians documented her and Tristan’s discussions on the subject.
It had long been rumoured that the couple had decided to give their relationship another chance but following the confirmation, in December, that Tristan had fathered a child with another woman, they have not spoken since except to discuss their co-parenting duties.
Tristan publicly apologised to Khloe for his behaviour.
The couple’s surrogate conceived in November 2021. They released a statement to the media stating: “We can confirm that True will have a sibling who was conceived in November.
“Khloe is incredibly grateful to the extraordinary surrogate for a beautiful blessing. We’d like to ask for kindness and privacy so that Khloe can focus on her family.”
The couple’s relationship has been tumultuous since they first met in 2016, including Tristan being involved in several high-profile sex scandals and fathering at least one other child while in a relationship with Khloe. But this last incident seems to have closed the door on the pair ever reconciling, making Khloe a single mother-of-two.
