Heidi Montag pregnant with second child after fertility struggle

US reality television star Heidi Montag is pregnant with her second child after having surgery to help her conceive

The 35-year-old The Hills alum and her husband, Spencer Pratt, already have a four-year-old son, Gunner.

She told Us Weekly: “We are so excited. I don’t know who I am more excited for – myself or Gunner or Spencer.”

Heidi said she felt like something was missing from her family.

The couple has been trying to conceive for some time and had similar issues when trying for Gunner.

She had a procedure known as a hysteroscopic polypectomy to remove polyps in her womb to increase her chances of conceiving and at the time said she had hoped to fall pregnant quickly afterward.

She also tried eating raw meat to help her fertility woes.

At the time, she told People magazine that she had been trying to conceive for 18 months and admitted that she was happy to try different things.

Heidi and Spencer said it is going to be a big adjustment for their family.

She said: “We told our mothers first.

“This whole experience has definitely added another layer to our relationship and marriage.

“After all we’ve been through, I really consider this our miracle baby. I think every baby is a miracle baby.”

Spencer added: “We got Gunner a stuffed toy with ‘big brother’ on it and he was really excited.”
