Harper Care offers mental health program in partnership with three UK fertility clinics

Mental health platform Harper has announced it will join forces with three fertility clinics to make its service available to patients

The company has partnered with a majority of the UK’s leading fertility clinics including GENNET City Fertility, Harley Street Fertility Clinic, and King’s Fertility.

Harper has said research has shown that 200 million babies will be born through IVF by 2100, resulting in clinics becoming a major source of conception and an ever-growing source of demand for fertility support. And patients who receive psychological interventions or are part of a mind/body program, including those provided by Harper, show a 12 percent higher pregnancy rate.

The company has developed a mental health programme designed to deliver personalized emotional health support through the power of technology and human empathy. The company’s solution aims to meet the mental health and well-being needs during the fertility journey of patients and their partners.

Mithi Thaya, founder and CEO of Harper said: “At Harper, we sit at the crossroads between mental health and health conditions to help every single patient going through treatment. Firstly, to help the journey, as it is extremely difficult, but secondly, to help with the success of the outcomes. We are contributing to their mental and physical condition. For the first time ever, we are seeing a support system that improves the patient’s journey, which is why we are so proud of the partnerships with the UK’s leading fertility clinics.”

Dr Geetha Venkat, Director of Harley Street Fertility Clinic, said the clinic was pleased to partner with Harper.

She said: “We are delighted to have partnered with Harper. As a family-run clinic, we treat each and every patient with love and care, as you would do with a member of our family. We know how emotionally draining a fertility journey is, hence, we offer as much support as we possibly can to our patients in their journey.

“Alongside our counseling sessions, we are proud to now offer to all our patients Harper’s services, whose bespoke well-being and fertility coaching services will be beneficial to our patients.”

Lukáš Beranek, Managing Director at GENNET City Fertility said the company was excited to see how Harper Care can support patients.

He said: “GENNET City Fertility is excited to be working in partnership with Harper Care. Our clinic offers a caring, individualised approach to our patient’s fertility challenges, we believe Harper’s impressive new service will complement this nicely. Scientifically backed, it promises to help support our patients’ mental health throughout their fertility journey.

“Going through any fertility treatment is an emotional rollercoaster, the fact that we can provide our patients with a friendly personal well-being coach that they can speak to at any point during their time with us will only be of benefit to them and their overall experience.”

Harper was founded by a team of clinicians, scientists, and software engineers who started as one of the first medical clinics specialized in preventative medicine, working to help people live as the happiest, healthiest versions of themselves.
