Emmerdale’s Lisa Riley has announced that her IVF journey has come to an end. It wasn’t the ending she had dreamed of, but she has made peace with the fact that she will not have children of her own
In the interview with Closer magazine, Lisa spoke of the way IVF had affected her relationship with her fiancé, describing the way he had “lost the girl he fell in love” with after their IVF failed.
She also felt that people around her had treated her differently, almost questioning the way she was dealing with her failed treatment.
“I’ve spoken openly in my own personal life, where my IVF didn’t work and people treat you differently.
“It’s like, ‘Oh and are you okay with that?’ I’m very happy that.”
Lisa and her partner Al have made the decision to move on from IVF treatment, following several failed attempts, but they are content, and Lisa says they are both living a “beautiful life”.
“I may not have 2.4 kids and a dog but I have a beautiful b****y life. I wouldn’t change it for the world, I’m so lucky.”
