Comedian Sara Pascoe has appeared on television to talk candidly about her fertility journey
The 41-year-old told ITV’s Loose Women panel that parents should ‘look at all the pros and cons of IVF even if they might hear sad stories in response’.
She said: “It’s a really common thing is infertility.
“I think the thing about it is it is a really big conversation and asking people about it you might hear quite sad things. but it really is a big part of life.
“It’s important to hear the pros and cons.”
Sara said she was determined to do all she could to normalise IVF after her own struggle to conceive.
She revealed recently that before she welcomed her son, she had a miscarriage and a long journey to parenthood.
Sara is married to fellow comedian Steen Raskopoulos and tried for quite some time to conceive, but she said it was not successful.
She went through several rounds of IVF and eventually welcomed their son in February 2020.
