E! News presenter Giuliana Rancic has revealed she will leave her role on the flagship celebrity news show with the hope of having more children
Giuliana and husband, US Apprentice winner and motivational speaker, Bill Rancic, announced the news as the network moves to New York from Los Angeles.
The 45-year-old welcomed son Duke, seven, by surrogacy in August 2012 after battling and beating breast cancer.
The pair have long been open about their fertility journey, documenting their IVF journey on the self-titled, Giuliana and Bill reality television show in 2010 and 2014.
They documented how Giuliana’s fertility was destroyed after having cancer treatment
After Duke’s birth, the couple revealed they had three embryos left and despite repeated successful transfers and subsequent surrogate pregnancies, all ended in devastating miscarriages.
The former Fashion Police presenter announced her and Bill’s plans to expand their family in a lengthy Instagram post in which she said leaving E! News had been a tough decision but that it felt right for her family, her business and herself.
She said: “I wanted to let you hear firsthand that I won’t be able to make this big move at this time…nothing is more important than spending time with my family, which we are hoping to expand soon.”
Open to all options when it comes to having more children
She said in 2018 that adoption was something the couple had discussed.
She said: “We’re open to everything. I think adoption is a beautiful gift you’re giving each other. I’m even more open to adoption than I was before. Because I think to myself ‘I love Duke so much, if I couldn’t take care of him, I hope there would be someone else who would love him.”
