The reason they decided on a surrogate was the high risk pregnancy she experienced with three-year-old son, Ace.

She said not being able to carry the child brought out mixed emotions for the couple.

She said: “I just feel like the whole situation is strange. I don’t get to be excited for the first kick. I don’t get to be excited about my bump starting to show or my boobs filling with milk. You have this guilt and sadness. So it’s a joyous, yet interesting experience.”
