US television’s Golnesa ‘GG’ Gharachedaghi has revealed she always wanted a big family and now that first step is about to become a reality
The single Shahs of Sunset starlet has announced she is pregnant with her first child via IVF after completing a cycle in August.
The 36-year-old celebrity used a sperm donor for her treatment and jokingly compared it to ‘a Build-A-Bear workshop’.
She plans to raise the child alone
Her first IVF cycle ended in the Spring with an ectopic pregnancy, that required emergency surgery to have her fallopian tubes removed.
She said to US media: “That was probably the most traumatising moment of my life. Literally, just a couple of days before, I was celebrating, and then I was mourning.”
She revealed she had counselling to deal with the grief of the situation and decided to have second cycle in the summer – and this time the procedure worked well.
On raising the child alone, she said felt good about her decision
“I’d heard about a really good donor concierge company,” she told People. “Who scavenges through the data from all the sperm banks in the nation and some neighbouring countries to find you what you’re looking for.”
She added: “I’m okay right now focusing on me and my baby. We’re in a day and age that women are so much more independent, and we’re not necessarily relying on men in order to move forward to life. I can start a family and have my child without being in a relationship right now.”
The divorcee said she hoped to meet a partner in the future but her focus was always going to be her and the child.
