Real Housewives of Atlanta’s Kandi Burruss is expecting her third child via surrogate and the journey will feature on season 12 of the hit US show
Kandi, who is married to Todd Tucker, spent most of season 11 trying to persuade her husband to use her remaining embryos to conceive with the help of a surrogate after a series of fertility issues stopped her from conceiving.
US media outlets are reporting the news after it was confirmed by People Magazine.
The multi award-winning singer and songwriter, Kandi, who has two children, three-year-old Ace and 16-year-old Riley, spoke tearfully in April about a conversation she had with Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live! and Real Housewives’ reunion presenter Andy Cohen when she learned of his own surrogacy journey.
The 43-year-old contacted him and told him the couple will complete the transfer soon after confirming they had found a surrogate.
“I called you because I was watching what you were going through on the show”
Andy and Kandi talked candidly about their conversation in which Andy remarked that he remembered a specific part of the conversation in which Kandi said she was to have a baby mama.
He said: “Don’t you ever say that because you are the baby’s mother and if you say that you are taking away from yourself.”
The couple found a suitable surrogate with the help of her OBGYN Dr Jackie Walters, of Married to Medicine fame.
