Tamron Hall kicks off new chat show with discussion on subject close to her heart, IVF and fertility

US broadcast journalist Tamron Hall has launched her own chat show and this week discusses her long fertility journey with several friends who have been on a similar road

At the age of 49, she is a new mum to son, Moses, born in April after a long road to parenthood with her husband, Steve.

Two of her special guests, Kenya Moore and Gretchen Rossi, both know very well the pain and heartache she has been through as they have been there and have been very open about their journeys.

Tamron told SheKnows website that if her show got picked up, IVF was going to feature in an episode due to the sheer number of people who came up to her to discuss their own IVF journey.

She said: “We are having a really layered conversation about it. We’re having Kenya Moore and Gretchen Rossi talk about their experiences and my own experience and we’re talking to doctors and people in the audience. Because there are many different experiences. I know through my own experiences of my many failed rounds that it does not always have a happy ending. Not everyone has the same access to IVF.”

Tamron revealed her fertility journey to her 712,000 Instagram followers when eight months pregnant after keeping her previous rounds private due to the heartbreaking failings the couple had endured.

She told her followers: “There have been many tears, but today I embrace the smiles. My husband Steve and I are beyond excited.”

Asked what advice she would give to women about to go through IVF, she said: “Don’t compare yourself to someone else’s results. I know that’s hard. I have a friend who is going through the first stages of it and I recommended a doctor, but I try to avoid sharing specifics of what I did because everyone is different. Find a team of doctors that you’re comfortable with that will answer your most paranoid questions – you will have them.”
