UK pop star and newest judge on the Voice Kids, Jessie J, is ‘hoping for a miracle’ with regards to her infertility diagnosis
The 31-year-old, who is dating US actor, Channing Tatum, first spoke out during her Rose Tour at the Royal Albert Hall concert last year on her struggle.
She told the audience before she performed her song, Four Letter Word, that doctors had told her she might not be able to have children naturally.
She said: “I don’t tell you guys for sympathy. I am one of millions of women and men who have gone through this and will go through this. It can’t become something that defines us. But I wanted to write this song for myself in my moment of sadness.”
She said in a recent interview with the Daily Mirror that she loved to be around children and found them ‘inspirational’ on the Voice Kids.
“I still believe in miracles,” she says. “And as many women know, it sometimes doesn’t just happen, it’s a process. The reason I spoke out before wasn’t for sympathy and it still isn’t, I just wanted to be open about it.”
The Price Tag singer has not revealed her exact diagnosis but said that she was determined she would have children.
She is one of many celebrities that have decided to be open about their struggle with fertility and parenthood.
