Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kandi Burruss has talked about her desire to have a third child with husband Todd Tucker, but has admitted it is not an easy road
The 42-year-old star said in a recent interview with Essence online that the pair were looking at ways to extend the family.
“Unfortunately, it’s not happening,” the 42-year-old songwriter said of conceiving a baby. “So obviously we’re just going to be talking about what that means for our family.”
Kandi, who has written hit songs for Mariah Carey, Destiny’s Child and TLC, said fans will see her fertility struggle on the newest series of the reality television show later this month.
Kandi and Todd have three children between them, Todd has a teenage daughter from a previous relationship, Kaela, 21, Kandi’s daughter Riley recently celebrated her Sweet 16 and the pair share three-year-old son, Ace.
She said that she has learnt a lot about herself in the process and shared some wisdom to others who might be going through something similar.
“It’s about being patient and knowing what’s for you is for you,” she said. “Pray about it, and look at all your options and whatever you can try to make happen, make it happen if you can.”
Her RHOA co-star Kenya Moore, 46, is due to give birth any moment to her first child after years of trying to conceive with husband, Marc Daly.
At 42, Kandi is in the age range in which anyone having fertility treatment has less than a five per cent chance of IVF being successful.
