Australian radio host Emily O’Keefe has second child via IVF – after 32 attempts

Popular Australian radio show host Emily Jade O’Keefe has given birth to a baby baby after 32 rounds of IVF treatment

Emily, 41 and her husband Gerard Murtargh announced the news via her Instagram account, which showed their daughter, Mille Valentine, gently holding baby brother, Teddy James or TJ for short.

The Hot Tomato host said Teddy was a miracle and that he was the ‘love of her life’.

Emily announced her pregnancy on Instagram in January this year, saying: “Our mircale Millie is about to be joined by another hard-earned miracle in June 2018. Five years, 260 weeks, 1,825 days, 2.3 million minutes. That’s how long and desperately we have tried for this little life.”

At 21 weeks pregrnant her doctors discovered she had a condition called ‘shrinking cervix’ and had to have a stitch put in place to keep TJ in place.

She was bed bound for the weeks that followed and performed her radio show from her spare room until she was given the all-clear.

According to mamamia.com the popular presenter lost 32 embryos along the way and suffered a heartbreaking miscarriage before she conceived TJ.
