It is curious how sometimes such small things can have so much influence. An example of this is the tiny pineapple pin that symbolises the #ivfstrongertogether movement, that emerged in November during the Fertility Awareness Week.
IVFbabble is where the campaign was born. Its aim is to increase infertility awareness and offer support to any people that may be feeling alone facing this problem.
Infertility is an issue that affects 1 out of 6 couples all over the world, therefore it is not a matter of a few isolated cases to which we can turn our backs. Talking about it allows for an increase in the visibility of the fight that many people are putting up all around the world in order to get to have the family they wish for.
In IVF Spain we see every day how hard it can be to face infertility. There are cases in which the search for the way to form a family has prolonged for up to 17 years and, let’s be honest, not all of us would be able to withstand a situation like that. Many of those cases end up with a happy ending, but not without having suffered a degree of emotional and financial wear.
IVF Spain wants to endorse to this movement and to send our warmth to all of those who have gone or are now going through this hard process.
We want to let them know that they are not alone, that Medicine does not rest and that, as a clinic, we assume the responsibility of continuing to investigate, for the cases in which the key to open the gate to parenthood is not found to be less and less.
Without a second thought, IVF Spain has already bought its pineapple pins for our little grain of sand to call out to you: You are not alone!
