Geri Horner opens up about IVF struggle

Former Spice Girl Geri Horner said she turned to the power of prayer to conceive her second child

The 45-year-old, who already had a daughter, Bluebell, was keen to have a child with her new husband F1 boss Christian Horner, but struggled to fall pregnant naturally.

She turned to IVF treatment to help the process but it failed and she thought her dream of becoming a mother for the second time was over.

The well-known celebrity told The Sun newspaper: “I feel for any woman for who is has that natural biological longing, it’s tough. I’d got to thinking I have a child, my husband has a daughter and accepting this is our lot. Then Monty came along naturally.”

Son Montague George Hector Horner was born in January

She said: “I put my hands together and prayed and two months later I got pregnant.”

Montague is now 11-months-old and the former 90s pop star said her life could not get any better.

She said: “This little boy Monty is like this little gift from something bigger.”
